Indian Pavilion at the 71st Cannes Film Festival

This year, the India Pavilion, organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting along with FICCI, was showcasing four regional language films. These include Assamese film “Village Rockstars”, Malayalam film “Bhayanakam”, Bengali movie “Nagarkirtan” and “Sinjar”, a film from Lakshadweep made in Jasari.

Remote wholesalers were relieved to find that Netflix and Amazon Studios hadn't purchased up everything (as they appeared to do a year ago). There were more Chinese agents at the celebration than any time in recent memory.
