Broadcast India 2018 has set new records with 20% increase in visitors and exhibitors.

Broadcast India Show continues to exemplify the energy and technology that drives the entertainment and the infotainment industry. This year’s show brought the highest attendance and participation, which proves that the infotainment industry is resilient and poised for great transformation in the upcoming years.

The Broadcast India Show 2018 held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from October 25 – 27, featured over 500 exhibiting companies to a sold-out show floor along with 10,764 unique attendees representing a 20% increase from the 2017 edition. Broadcast India Show 2018 highlighted a 15% increase in the number of new companies exhibiting with us for the first time.

Participants included many of the industry’s best-known names including Blackmagic Design, Sony, AVID, RED Digital, Canon, Datavideo, Ross Video, FOR-A, Grass Valley, ARRI, Carl Zeiss, Panther, Seagate, AJA Video Systems, IHSE, Primestream, Ikegami, Netweb Technologies, Sennheiser and Dell, together with numerous highly specialised firms supplying essential products and services for all sectors of the market. Over 27 countries were represented at the show; including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, Ukraine and USA

The event was further strengthened by the active support and presence of key institutions and associations including IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers), The All India Broadcast Manufacturers and Distributors Association (AIBMDA), Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), and TradeFair Support, UK amongst others.

Among other supporting activities at this year’s show was a four-session workshop conducted by IABM & Kohinoor Business School. The sessions covered ‘Understanding the Broadcast & Media Industry’ and ‘Broadcast Technology Workflows’. Many of the well-attended sessions included Going Global with OTT, The Media Evolution: Convergence Broadcast - and 5G network, WebRTC Live streaming, Emergence of AR, VR & AI in the Broadcast Industry, Infrastructure and Future of LED Visual and Sound, etc.

Business optimism across the show floor was also reported by exhibitors, many of whom rated Broadcast India as their best trade show of the year. The predominant feedback from exhibitors was that they have met good quality buyers who were engaged and very interested in new products. Over 50% of the buyers stated they expected to make significant purchases in the next 6 to 12 months. The show will certainly be a catalyst for new and positive economic growth in our industry in the months and years to come.

Broadcast India Show makes way for the next-gen broadcast technology - faster, easier, more productive and definitely more creative ways of working with broadcast, film, audio, radio and everything else that contributes to the infotainment industry - from its content creation to its management and delivery.
